The Akirata Dance Troupe are contracted to provide dynamic cultural shows at Island Nights at the Islander Hotel (Tuesdays), Muri Beach Club Hotel (Wednesdays), Crown Beach Resort & Spa (Thursdays). We invite you to join us at any one of these fantastic venues for an experience of pure Cook Islands culture & cuisine.

The Akirata Dance Troupe is the leading cultural dance troupe for all weddings on Rarotonga. We provide 35-minute dynamic shows with a fire dance for NZD800.

Audience participation is paramount in our shows and we get all wedding members up for a dance. Great value entertainment for your beautiful wedding reception on Rarotonga.

Akirata Cultural Dance Troupe (aka ‘AKIRATA’) is a dynamic performing cultural arts troupe comprising professional dancers (current & former national dance champions / former Miss Tiare & former Miss Cook Islands), with elaborate costumes, creative drummers, specialising in the revival of historical performances by cultural maestro’s of yesteryear, fused with modern dance style & choreography.

Akirata is available for dynamic cultural shows around the world. Akirata has just returned from a tourism & cultural exchange tour of the USA and Mexico from 19-28 Oct 2013.
